What is a Session?

The Intel RealSense PT Metrics system guides you through the activities prescribed by your clinician. It's like having a personal trainer with precision technology. The activities assigned to you for each day are automatically shown on the Intel RealSense PT Metrics tablet.

A session is a list of activities your clinician assigns for you to complete each day based on your treatment plan. These activities are designed to help you improve. Every time you visit the clinic, Intel RealSense PT Metrics either shows you the activities planned for you or informs you if there are no activities scheduled for that day’s visit.

When you visit the clinic, you are expected to perform the activities listed in the session. Your clinician might change this list while you are in the clinic. Follow the audio and visual instructions provided by the Intel RealSense PT Metrics system during your session. The system uses a camera to ensure you're positioned correctly, monitors your performance, and counts your repetitions, offering corrections if necessary.

Intel RealSense PT Metrics tracks your performance against the goals in your treatment plan and lets you view your session results. The system notes if you skip an activity or don't complete it fully, and it helps your clinician track your progress. This information allows your clinician to make adjustments to your treatment plan and assign future sessions, which will appear in your Intel RealSense PT Metrics Patient application.

Getting Ready for a Session

Before starting your session:

  • Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely during the activities but are not too loose.
  • Do not wear a skirt, dress, or gown, as they may prevent the system from seeing the position of your legs properly.
  • Clear the area where you will perform the exercise of any objects or clutter unrelated to the activity, such as extra clothing or bags.

Note – If the tablet's screen goes dark, tap on it and swipe your finger upwards to turn it back on.

caution.png CAUTION – Before starting a session, ask your clinician if the session assigned to you is updated for your current state of recovery.
