  • Updated

If your camera device isn’t powering on, this step-by-step guide will help you diagnose and potentially resolve the issue. Follow the sequence below based on your device’s behavior to identify the cause of the problem and decide whether repair or replacement is needed.

Verify Battery Charge

The first step is to confirm whether the battery is charged:

  • If the battery is not charged: Plug the charger into the power box USB connector and wait for two hours.
  • After charging, check if the device turns on.
    • If it turns on, the issue is resolved.
    • If it doesn’t turn on, proceed to the next step.
  • If the battery is charged: Continue to the next step.

Inspect Cable Connections

Now, check the cables inside the power box:

  • Open the power box and ensure that all cables are securely connected.
  • If the cables are not connected, follow the instructions in the technical manual to connect them to the USB hub. Once done, check if the device turns on.
    • If the device turns on, the issue is resolved.
    • If it doesn’t turn on, continue to the next step.
  • If the cables are connected: Proceed to the next step.

Disconnect and Reconnect USB Hub Cables

At this stage, if the device still doesn’t turn on, you will need to reset the connection:

  • Disconnect all cables from the USB hub.
  • Reconnect the cables and attempt to boot the device.
    • If the device turns on, the issue is resolved.
    • If the device still doesn’t turn on, move to the next step.

Check the Battery’s Condition

If the device remains unresponsive, the battery itself might be at fault:

  • Check the battery inside the power box for visible illuminated LEDs when the charger is connected.
  • If the LEDs are not visible, the battery is likely malfunctioning and should be replaced.

Determine Whether to Replace the Device

If the battery works but the device still won’t turn on after all troubleshooting steps, the device might be faulty and will need replacement:

  • Battery works: Proceed with replacing the device.
  • Battery doesn’t work: Replace the battery.
